ABOUT US
The House of Ballet is an established school in Hampstead, North West London, offering the highest quality ballet training for all ages. Following the Royal Academy of Dance's prestigious syllabus, classes are designed to be challenging and engaging for all; developing technical dance ability, musicality, performance and building confidence.
The House of Ballet's motto is
“I do not try to dance better than anyone else. I only try to dance better than myself”
and as a result, the school operates a no-tolerance approach to bullying and the unhealthy competitive attitudes which are commonplace in the dance industry. All students at The House of Ballet are encouraged to reach their own potential and praised for individual successes.
The school has been founded by ex-professional dancer, Lucy Heard RAD RTS, who is a registered teacher of the Royal Academy of Dance. Lucy trained at The Arts Educational School, Tring Park and Northern Ballet School, before embarking on her professional career in dance. This took her from her classical training into Contemporary dance, where she toured internationally.
With many years of teaching experience, Lucy founded the House of Ballet in 2015.
She is a regular guest teacher for Associate programmes across London and particularly enjoys pre-professional level coaching.
Lucy is invested in making the ballet of the future accessible for all.

BALLET CLASSES
The House of Ballet offer classes for children from 2.5years+ in the prestigious Royal Academy of Dance's syllabi from Pre-Primary up to Advanced Level.
Classes are designed to develop strength, coordination, flexibility, musicality and performance quality.
WORKSHOPS
We run an array of creative performance workshops throughout the year, bringing to life movies and musicals through dance, song and action; and culminating in a fantastic live show.
